Brainspotting consultation offers a supportive space for trained practitioners to deepen their understanding and practice of Brainspotting.

Whether you are newer to Brainspotting, looking for support with a clinical question, or working toward Brainspotting certification, consultation provides an opportunity to slow down, reflect on your work, and build greater confidence in your Brainspotting skills.

Brainspotting consultation may be a good fit if you:

• Have completed Brainspotting training and want to continue developing your skills
• Are integrating Brainspotting into your clinical practice
• Want to talk through a clinical question or case
• Would like support with Brainspotting frame set-ups or clinical application
• Are working toward Brainspotting Practitioner Certification

Consultation is generally scheduled monthly for 60 minutes and is available on an ongoing or as-needed basis.

If you are pursuing Brainspotting Certification, consultation can be part of your certification journey when current Brainspotting Trainings, LLC requirements are met.

Current certification requirements include:

• Completion of Phase 1 and Phase 2
• One advanced training: Phase 3, 4, 5, or Masterclass
• Six hours of consultation with the same Approved Brainspotting Consultant
• 50 documented hours of Brainspotting practice
• Submission of the required certification application and documentation
• Completion of requirements within the timeframe established by Brainspotting Trainings, LLC

No more than two consultation hours may be completed before Phase 2.

Preparing for your certification review

The Consultant's Report offers guidance on the Brainspotting concepts and skills you'll be expected to understand and demonstrate as part of the certification process. We can use this as a roadmap during consultation, giving you space to explore what feels solid, ask questions, and identify areas where you may want more practice or support.

$150 per 60-minute consultation

Consultation may be scheduled as needed or as part of a structured plan toward Brainspotting certification, when applicable.

Brainspotting consultation focuses specifically on Brainspotting theory, skills, and clinical application.

Consultation is not clinical supervision unless it is provided within an established supervisory relationship. Practitioners remain responsible for their own clinical decisions and for meeting applicable ethical, legal, and professional requirements.

Do I need to complete Brainspotting training before scheduling consultation?

Yes. Consultation is intended for practitioners who have completed Brainspotting training and are integrating Brainspotting into their professional practice.

Can I schedule consultation if I am not pursuing certification?

Absolutely. You do not need to be working toward certification to receive consultation. You can schedule consultation simply because you want a space to reflect, ask questions, and continue growing your Brainspotting practice.

Can consultation hours count toward certification?

They may, as long as the consultation meets the current certification requirements established by Brainspotting Trainings, LLC.

Can I bring a case to consultation?

Yes. You can bring appropriately de-identified clinical material, questions about your Brainspotting practice, or a session you would like to explore.

Is Brainspotting consultation the same as clinical supervision?

No. Brainspotting consultation is focused specifically on Brainspotting and does not replace clinical supervision.

Is consultation available virtually?

Yes. Brainspotting consultation is offered virtually.
